Spartacus Foundation promotes and supports the political, study and research, cultural, information and international activities of the communist and labor movement.
The foundation, registered in 1989, organizes solidarity projects, research and study projects, and fundraising. The foundation accepts donations and bequests. Spartacus Foundation is a non-profit organization that does not engage in commercial business.
The foundation is named after Spartacus, who led the slave uprising against Roman oppression in 73–71 BCE. His legacy inspires us to continue long-term, collective action against oppression and inequality.
Spartacus Foundation is a member organization of Fingo, a cooperation organization of Finnish development organizations.
